Craft and build

Better tools, weapons and your first base pieces, it all comes from crafting.

Craft and build
  1. Open the craft menu

    Open the craft menu

    Press C (or the craft button) to open the menu. Simple items you make BY HAND anywhere; the better ones need a station.

  2. Set up the workbench

    Set up the workbench

    Build the WORKBENCH, the heart of crafting. Near it you unlock tools, armor, weapons and more advanced building pieces.

  3. Make your tools

    Make your tools

    Axe for wood, pickaxe for ore, knife and spear for hunting. Better tools gather faster and last longer (they wear with use).

  4. Raise your first base

    Raise your first base

    Place a FOUNDATION and raise walls around it to protect chests and fire. It's the start of your territory.

Tips

  • ▸Tools have durability, repair them at the bench with the hammer before they break.
  • ▸Store resources in chests inside the base, away from passersby.
